HIGH DOSE
Vitamin D regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, both needed for healthy bones, teeth and muscles. It is found naturally in a small number of foods including oily fish, red meat, liver and egg yolks and in fortified food like breakfast cereals and fat spreads but Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin, because our bodies generally rely on our skin making vitamin D from sunlight.

Public Health England recommends that everyone should consider taking a vitamin D supplement in winter and that people at greater risk of low levels should do so all year round.

It is also a very low-energy process as algae grows so rapidly, whilst waste algae can be reused in the next round of algae growth, making it an efficient and sustainable process.
